A Few Notes About Our Newport, RI Inn

Room Fees
Rates quoted are based on double occupancy. We charge $100.00 for each additional guest staying with you.
Minimum Stay
Two-night minimum stay requirement on all weekends, with exception to some holidays. All weekends from Memorial Day to Mid October require a three-night minimum stay. There is no minimum night stay requirement Sunday through Thursday, year round.
Your balance due is payable upon departure. A 7% sales tax and 6% city bed tax is added to all room charges. Cash, traveler's checks, or personal checks are preferred methods of payment. We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express. We require a one-night deposit for single night stays and a 50% deposit for multiple night reservations.
We require that you check-out by 11:00 am to allow adequate time to prepare for incoming guests. You may store your luggage with us if you would like to spend the day touring Newport. However, we do ask that you reclaim any luggage between 2 pm and 6 pm.
Breakfast is served from 8:00am to 10:00am. Tea and coffee is available by 7:00am in our dining room. Please notify us with any special dietary needs or restrictions you may have and we will do our best to accommodate.
For the comfort of all our guests, we provide a smoke-free environment. Smoking in guestrooms is strictly prohibited and our policy is enforced.
Children over the age of 12 years old are welcome to enjoy our historic inn.
Our inn has no pets on property and guests' pets are not permitted. If you are traveling with your pets, please call us for a list of local boarding kennels.
Our toll-free number is specifically for reservations. Calls cannot be transferred to guestrooms from this line. To accommodate incoming guest phone calls we have installed our guestline. That number is 401-846-0392. Please give this number to your family and friends who may have a need to call you while you are visiting our inn.
Complimentary off-street parking is provided for guests of The Francis Malbone House. Our parking area is directly behind the inn. Please note that once you turn onto Thames Street, continue 0.1 mile to Brewer Street. Turn left onto Brewer Street and our parking entrance is the first right.
2020 - If a reservation is cancelled at least 14 days prior to your arrival we will refund your deposit in full. If you cancel within the 14 days of arrival we must rebook your reservation to receive your deposit back.
2021 - If a reservation is cancelled at least 21 days prior to arrival, we will refund your deposit less a 10% cancellation fee. If a reservation is cancelled within 21 days of arrival, we retain the deposit unless we are able to resell the cancelled room(s).
